Pre-nucleation Clusters

Pre-Nucleation Clusters is a thermodynamic construct referring to stable, transient associations of ions or molecules in a supersaturated solution that form reversibly prior to the emergence of a critical nucleus, distinguished from classical nucleation precursors by their lack of a well-defined size or phase boundary and their role in non-classical pathways of phase transformation.
