Pre-equilibrium Analysis

Pre-Equilibrium Analysis is a theoretical method in chemical kinetics that, as a subset of reaction mechanism analysis, specifically involves the assumption that certain steps in a multistep reaction rapidly reach a quasi-steady equilibrium prior to the rate-determining step, thereby enabling the simplification of rate laws through the use of equilibrium approximations for early transient intermediates.
