Pre-contractual Representations

Pre-Contractual Representations is a singular academic concept denoting a statement of fact or opinion made by one party to another prior to the formation of a contract, which serves to induce the other party to enter into the contractual agreement, particularly in the context of the sale of goods, and which may give rise to liability for misrepresentation if proven false or misleading.
