Potential Functions

Potential Function is a scalar-valued function defined on the strategy space of a game that serves as a generator of players' payoff functions, such that the marginal change in a player’s utility due to a unilateral strategy deviation equals the corresponding change in the potential function, thereby enabling the representation and analysis of strategic interactions in potential games.
