Potential Flow Theory

Potential Flow Theory is a theoretical framework in fluid dynamics that belongs to the class of idealized flow models, distinguished by its assumption that the flow is irrotational and governed by the Laplace equation for a scalar velocity potential, enabling the analysis of incompressible, inviscid, and steady or unsteady flows in marine hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, and free-surface flow applications.
