Potential Density Structure
Potential Density Structure is a thermohaline property framework that characterizes the spatial distribution and stratification of water masses based on their density normalized to a reference pressure, thereby isolating the effects of temperature and salinity from compressibility to reveal the inherent stability and dynamical constraints of oceanic density variations.
