Potassic Alteration

Potassic Alteration is a type of hydrothermal alteration process in which potassium-rich minerals such as K-feldspar, biotite, or sericite are introduced into a rock through fluid-rock interaction, distinguished by the addition of potassium and typically associated with high-temperature, reduced conditions in magmatic-hydrothermal systems.
