Postdramatic Opera

Postdramatic Opera is a mode of operatic practice that, as an extension of postdramatic theatre, subordinates narrative and textual drama to performative, sonic, visual, and temporal bodily events, thereby reconfiguring the primacy of the dramatic text in favor of multi-layered, often non-linear, aesthetic and experiential intensities.
