Postcolonial Photography is a conceptual framework within African visual studies that critically examines photographic practices, representations, and archives in the aftermath of colonial rule, distinguishing itself by challenging Eurocentric narratives and recentering indigenous perspectives, identities, and epistemologies in the production and interpretation of photographic images.
