Positron Range Effects

Positron Range Effects is the physical phenomenon in positron emission tomography physics characterized by the spatial displacement between the site of positron emission and the location of annihilation, resulting from the finite distance positrons travel in matter before undergoing annihilation, which degrades image resolution and affects quantification accuracy.
