Polymer Swelling Diffusion

Polymer Swelling Diffusion is a diffusion-controlled release mechanism in which the transport of solutes through a polymeric matrix is governed by the coupled processes of solvent-induced polymer swelling and subsequent molecular diffusion, distinguishing it from pure Fickian or glassy diffusion models by its dependence on time-dependent matrix relaxation and expansion.
