Poly(a) Site Selection
Poly(A) Site Selection is the biological process by which a specific nucleotide position in a pre-mRNA transcript is identified and utilized for the addition of a polyadenylate tail during mRNA 3′-end processing, distinguishing it from alternative polyadenylation mechanisms through its dependence on conserved cis-regulatory sequence elements and trans-acting factors.
