Polluted Bodies is a theoretical construct in literary studies that designates the human or symbolic body as a site of contamination through environmental, social, or ideological pollutants, thereby distinguishing it from other representations of corporeality by framing bodily integrity as compromised by external, often systemic, forces of degradation.
