Point Bar Development

Point Bar Development is a geomorphological process denoting the incremental accumulation and lateral accretion of sediments along the inner bank of a meandering river channel, distinguished from other fluvial deposition patterns by its association with flow deceleration and helical circulation that preferentially deposit coarse material in a systematic, upstream-migrating sequence.
