Plate Martensite

Plate Martensite is a type of martensitic microstructure characterized by a lenticular, plate-like morphology that forms through a diffusionless phase transformation in ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, distinguished from lath martensite by its habit plane, crystallographic orientation, and predominance in high-carbon steels and certain medium-alloy systems.
