Pitch-angle Scattering

Pitch-Angle Scattering is a wave-particle interaction process in which charged particles in a magnetized plasma undergo stochastic changes in the angle between their velocity vector and the local magnetic field direction due to resonant interactions with electromagnetic waves, thereby altering their trajectory relative to the magnetic field line.
