Physical Listening

Physical Listening is a performance-based construct in the domain of improvisational mime that denotes the performer’s embodied attunement to movement cues, spatial dynamics, and co-performers through non-verbal, kinesthetic awareness, distinguishing it from auditory or verbal forms of listening by prioritizing somatic receptivity and responsive gesture as the primary mode of interpersonal and environmental perception.
