Personal Services Contracts

"Personal Services Contract" is a type of contractual agreement, within the legal framework of the Statute of Frauds, that obligates an individual to perform specific personal, professional, or intellectual services rather than to deliver goods or real property, and which must be in writing when performance extends beyond one year or involves unique expertise inherently tied to the individual’s capabilities.
