Peritectic Nucleation
Peritectic Nucleation is a phase transformation mechanism in metallurgy and materials science wherein a solid phase nucleates from the reaction between a pre-existing solid phase and the surrounding liquid phase at a specific peritectic temperature and composition, distinguished by its requirement for interfacial formation under nonequilibrium cooling conditions.
