Periosteal Patch Technique
The "Periosteal Patch Technique" is a surgical transplantation method in cartilage repair that uses an autologous periosteal flap as a biological cover to contain implanted chondrocytes at the defect site, distinguishing it from alternative sealing techniques in autologous chondrocyte implantation by its reliance on periosteal tissue to promote chondrogenesis.
