Performance Of Whiteness

Performance of Whiteness is a theoretical construct in critical race and performance studies that identifies and analyzes the intentional, often socially strategic, enactment of white racial identity by individuals or groups, particularly in contexts where such identity is not ascribed, thereby revealing whiteness as a socially contingent and performative achievement rather than a fixed or natural condition.
