Perforation Effects is a wellbore storage phenomenon that refers to the transient pressure and flow behavior alterations caused by the presence, geometry, and distribution of perforations in the wellbore casing, distinguishing it from other storage effects by its direct dependence on the hydraulic connectivity between the reservoir and the wellbore through perforated intervals.
