Penis Envy

Penis Envy is a psychoanalytic construct theorized by Sigmund Freud to denote a girl's unconscious longing for a penis, stemming from the realization of her anatomical difference during the phallic stage of psychosexual development, which, within the framework of psychoanalytic feminism, symbolizes the broader social and psychological desire for male privilege and power.
