Pencil Eigenvalue Problems

Pencil Eigenvalue Problems is a class of generalized eigenvalue problems involving a matrix pencil of the form $ (A - \lambda B) $, where $ A $ and $ B $ are square matrices and $ \lambda $ is a scalar, that seeks scalars $ \lambda $ for which the pencil becomes singular, distinguishing it from standard eigenvalue problems by incorporating a possibly non-identity coefficient matrix $ B $.
