Partial Coverage Preparation

Partial Coverage Preparation is a type of tooth preparation design in posterior tooth preparation that conservatively removes tooth structure to accommodate a restoration covering only a portion of the clinical crown, thereby preserving intact enamel and dentin where possible to enhance biomechanical integrity and minimize invasiveness compared to full-coverage approaches.
