Pars Tensa

Pars Tensa is the larger, annular portion of the tympanic membrane characterized by a trilaminar structure composed of an outer epithelial layer, a middle fibrous connective tissue layer, and an inner mucosal layer, distinguishing it from the smaller, more superior Pars Flaccida which lacks the robust fibrous stratum and exhibits a bilaminar configuration.
