Outcrop Scale Mapping

Outcrop Scale Mapping is a geological mapping method that specifically characterizes the spatial distribution, geometry, and structural features of rock exposures at the surface, distinguished from other structural mapping approaches by its exclusive focus on observable, in-situ outcrops at a scale sufficient to resolve discontinuities, contacts, and deformation patterns directly visible in exposed bedrock.
