Orchestral Accompaniment

Orchestral Accompaniment is a musical performance practice in which an orchestra provides harmonic, rhythmic, and textural support to a primary musical entity—such as a soloist, chorus, or theatrical action—thereby differentiating it from autonomous orchestral forms by its functional role in enhancing and interacting with the principal element.
