Optimal Allocation

Optimal Allocation is a sampling design strategy in survey sampling that belongs to the class of allocation methods and is distinguished by its minimization of survey variance for a fixed cost or minimization of cost for a fixed variance across strata, typically achieved by proportionally distributing sample sizes according to stratum size, variability, and unit cost.
