Open Stabilization
Open Stabilization is a surgical intervention, within the domain of orthopedic shoulder surgery, that involves a direct, invasive approach to repair or reconstruct the glenohumeral joint structures to restore stability, distinguished by its use of an external incision to access and address the underlying anatomical pathology, as opposed to arthroscopic or minimally invasive techniques.
