Open Healing

Open Healing is a surgical wound management approach in the context of managing full bony impactions, in which the extraction site is left unprimary closed to allow granulation tissue to form and the wound to reepithelialize from the periphery inward, thereby minimizing infection risk and promoting natural bone remodeling in contaminated or high-morbidity sites.
