Oil Mobilization
Oil Mobilization is the microbial-driven process within porous media by which residual or trapped oil is dislodged and rendered movable through the reduction of interfacial tension, alteration of wettability, and generation of in situ gases, distinguishing it from mere oil displacement by incorporating bio-mediated mechanisms that enhance detachment and flow in subsurface reservoirs.
