O-antigen Biosynthesis
O-Antigen Biosynthesis is a microbial glycan assembly process in which the O-antigen, a polysaccharide component of lipopolysaccharide, is synthesized through the stepwise addition of sugar residues to a lipid carrier, distinguishing it from other glycobiological pathways by its specificity to Gram-negative bacterial cell wall biogenesis.
