Nozzle Size Selection is a methodological construct in drilling hydraulics that determines the optimal diameters of fluid discharge nozzles on a drill bit to achieve desired hydraulic parameters, such as jet impact force, pressure drop, and annular velocity, thereby enhancing drilling efficiency and hole cleaning while minimizing non-productive time.
