Notational Creativity
Notational Creativity is a scholarly construct in musical creativity that denotes the innovative development or transformation of symbolic systems, conventions, or practices used to encode and communicate musical ideas, distinguishing it from other forms of musical creativity by its focus on the representational medium rather than compositional structure, performance practice, or improvisational process.
