Normalized Text

Normalized Text is a scholarly textual representation that, as a type of critical edition, regularizes orthographic, grammatical, or paleographic features of a source text while preserving its linguistic and semantic content, thereby distinguishing it from diplomatic transcriptions or facsimile editions by prioritizing readability and standardization over exact graphical replication.
