Nonparametric Likelihood Estimation is a method of statistical inference that belongs to the class of likelihood estimation techniques and is distinguished by its avoidance of prespecified parametric models for the data distribution, instead allowing the likelihood to be constructed based on entirely data-driven, infinite-dimensional parameter spaces.
