Nonlinear Solver Convergence is a numerical methodological concept that denotes the process by which an iterative algorithm approaches a solution to a system of nonlinear equations within a prescribed tolerance, distinguished from linear solver convergence by its application to nonlinear operator mappings and dependence on local or global convergence properties of the underlying nonlinear system.
