Nonlinear Longitudinal Vibration

Nonlinear Longitudinal Vibration is a dynamic response phenomenon in structural mechanics characterized by oscillatory motion along the axial direction of a system, wherein the restoring forces or inertial effects deviate from Hookean proportionality or linear displacement assumptions, thereby introducing amplitude-dependent frequency, higher harmonic generation, or bifurcational behavior unobservable in linear longitudinal vibrations.
