Nonlinear Lateral Vibration

Nonlinear Lateral Vibration is a mechanical vibration phenomenon characterized by lateral oscillatory motion in which the restoring forces, inertial effects, or damping mechanisms exhibit nonlinear dependencies on displacement, velocity, or acceleration, thereby distinguishing it from linear lateral vibrations through amplitude-dependent frequency response, harmonic generation, or bifurcational behavior.
