Nonhydrostatic Primitive Equations
Nonhydrostatic Primitive Equations is a mathematical model of atmospheric and oceanic fluid dynamics that belongs to the class of primitive equations but distinguishes itself by fully resolving vertical accelerations and omitting the hydrostatic approximation, thereby enabling the simulation of small-scale and highly nonhydrostatic processes such as deep convection and mountain waves.
