Nominative Alignment

Nominative Alignment is a morphosyntactic alignment system in which the sole argument of an intransitive verb (S) and the agent of a transitive verb (A) are coded identically (nominative case), distinct from the patient of a transitive verb (P), which is marked differently (accusative or oblique case).
