Newmark Sliding-block Analysis

Newmark Sliding-Block Analysis is a methodological framework in geotechnical earthquake engineering that models the cumulative permanent displacement of a slope during seismic shaking by representing the sliding mass as a rigid block moving along a predefined failure surface, differentiated by its use of yield acceleration and double-time integration of inertial forces exceeding shear resistance.
