Neotectonic Uplift
Neotectonic Uplift is a geodynamic process within Quaternary and intraplate tectonics denoting the recent, ongoing crustal elevation driven by tectonic forces active during the Neogene to Quaternary periods, distinguished from older tectonic movements by its temporal proximity to the present and its implications for landscape evolution, seismic hazard, and relative sea-level change.
