Nanofiltration

Nanofiltration is a membrane separation process that selectively removes divalent and multivalent ions, organic molecules, and micropollutants from aqueous solutions by size exclusion and charge-based mechanisms, operating under lower pressures than reverse osmosis but with higher permeate flux and less stringent rejection characteristics than tight ultrafiltration or reverse osmosis membranes.
