Mystical Suffering

Mystical Suffering is a literary-theological construct that denotes the portrayal of pain and affliction as a transcendent, divinely imbued experience through which individuals attain spiritual insight, union with the divine, or redemptive meaning, thereby distinguishing it from secular or purely tragic representations of suffering.
