Multiscale Basis Functions

Multiscale Basis Functions is a mathematical construct in numerical analysis defined as a set of localized basis functions that span a coarse-scale solution space while incorporating fine-scale information through solutions of local boundary value problems, thereby enabling accurate approximation of heterogeneous multiscale problems within the framework of finite element methods.
