Multiple Scattering is a radiative transfer phenomenon in which photons undergo successive scattering events as they propagate through a disordered or heterogeneous medium, distinguished from single scattering by the cumulative effect of repeated interactions that alter the direction, polarization, and spatial coherence of the radiation field.
