Multimodal Turn-taking

Multimodal Turn-Taking is a systematic framework for analyzing and modeling the coordinated exchange of communicative actions across verbal and nonverbal modalities—such as speech, gaze, gestures, and posture—in naturally occurring social interactions, distinguished from unimodal turn-taking approaches by its integration of temporally aligned multimodal behavioral cues to identify, predict, and generate contextually appropriate transitions between participants in dialogue.
