Multi-parton Interactions
Multi-Parton Interactions is a phenomenon in high-energy hadronic collisions within Quantum Chromodynamics wherein multiple pairs of partons from the same colliding hadrons undergo simultaneous hard or semi-hard interactions, distinguished from single-parton scattering by the involvement of more than one elementary interaction per collision event.
